Our Quality Standards

We, the interdisciplinary, multi-professional team behind #LernenVernetzt, have not only developed the initiative, but are continuously optimizing it and adapting it to the current situation with regard to measures to contain the pandemic. In doing so, we always have our goal in mind to promote educational equality and, in particular, to support disadvantaged students during this exceptional school situation. At the same time, we are also concerned with relieving teachers and offering student teachers the opportunity to become socially involved and gain practical experience in their future professional field. We are therefore convinced that the #LernenVernetzt project will continue to be profitable for students, teachers and schoolchildren beyond the pandemic. With this in mind, we have formulated identity-creating quality criteria for our project in order to always maintain our goals, to meet our own high demands on our project and to differentiate ourselves from similar initiatives. LIST OF OUR QUALITY STANDARDS

  • The matching is done manually. Thus, we are able to cater to the individual needs.
  • We work 100% GDPR compliant.
  • The safety of everyone involved is guaranteed:
    1. Students use their university email address.
    2. The fairmeeting rooms are accessible to the #LernVernetzt team as the access password is entered in the Stud.IP wiki.
    3. The Stud.IP room is not freely accessible; Students can only be added by the staff.
  • The students are constantly interacting with teachers. Thus, the quality of the student's work (especially in contact with the pupils) is guaranteed.
  • Students keep a worklog. In this way they can reflect on their activities and have an overview of the time they invested.
  • The worklog serves as the basis for a volunteering certificate, which can be requested online using the form on our website once the participation in the project has ended.
  • The interaction and mutual support of all participants (i.e. students, teachers, and pupils) is the focus of the project and its further development:
    1. Students and teachers are seen as a team and all necessary support measures for a good cooperation are provided (e.g. tips for the first team meeting).
    2. Students receive instructions and assistance to ensure GDPR compliance and to be able to proactively approach collaboration in the digital space, which promotes implicit and explicit training of students' media literacy.
    3. Information letters are provided for students, teachers, and parents in order to counteract any additional work involved in and with the #LernenVernetzt project, especially on the part of teachers.
    4. An information film for schoolchildren is available in German in simple language and as a translated version in five other languages ​​on our website.


  • The project is integrated into everyday school life and does not take place in isolation from it. This means that school is perceived as a common place for teaching, learning, working, and cooperation.
  • Regular Critical Friends video conferences are held with representatives of the school network Q-IGS and the project is constantly adapted to the dynamically changing situation in schools (so-called quality loops).
  • We carry out regular evaluations.
  • We are a multi-professional project team that develops the individual building blocks of the project together.
